probably the most perfectly written sitcom episode ever to grace British TV.

When Basil finds out someone is a medical Dr., he goes into full-on fawning mode : )

I love how Sybil scurries outside to slap Basil, and then scurries back inside! 🤣🤣

Fawlty Towers is not just a brilliant script with every scene either delivering a joke or setting the scene for the next one, its also genius level physical comedy.<br>Funniest sitcom ever.

Not only is the acting terrific from everyone, but the scripts are so beautifully crafted. And for the final six episodes, John and Connie wrote them together after getting a divorce. Remarkable!

That was the paper boy, from the very first episode. Basil treated him, well, like he treats everyone, and our hero has been rearranging the letters of the sign ever since :)

That tapping thing that Basil was doing was something that doctors did years ago when examining your chest or back.
