Fyi. No child should be left alone in a car sleeping in a parking lot with their parents absent.

I work as a jailer. Sadly this happens all the time. People get placed on probation that are mentally unstable and the courts know full and well they will not be able to complete probation. These people will still in jail for months waiting for either court or a mental competency hearing and courts and our jail administration/ medical staff will drag their feet to set mental health appointments so they can be properly treated. We had one lady that we suspected was pregnant and had mental health issues. Our medical staff refused to give her a pregnancy test until she did a sick call, even though several of us female officers told them about her issues. She sat in jail for five months before she was given a pregnancy test and sent to safe keeping for her mental health issues. Jail is not the place for these people and it also puts other inmates and detention staff in danger of being assaulted because many of them are violent.

First 2 definitely have severe mental illness. "Crazy eyes is on Haldol injectable every two weeks. That's beyond normal interval with injectables which are usually given every month UNLESS there is a need for higher doses every two weeks. I'm a retired psychiatric nurse clinician. I know MI when I see it. But her meds need evaluation and she belongs in a psychiatric forensic inpatient unit. The second man is obviously schizophrenic, perhaps paranoid type, IDK. Back in the day, the phrase was "the FBI is after me." Now it's Homeland Security. Both cases are so sad because they are being evaluated or treated. In NYS, the hospital for the "criminally insane" are aggressive with medication, stabilization and send them right back to prison where at least they will be on correct amount of meds and can participate in their defense.

Whoo, boy!! Did you see her face when they said she needed additional mental health services?! Yikes!! The pure rage that came over her was just plain SCARY!!! That is NOT an individual who poses no risk to the public!! I would hate to bump into her on a bad day!!

"I ALWAYS take my medication... except for the medication I refuse to take!" It's scary that she's got kids at home. For obvious reasons, she doesn't need to be raising kids!

It amazes me constantly that people don't seem to understand that they are where they are because of the CHOICES THEY MADE!
