Foster Brooks also played in a number of skits on the Dean Martin Show. The one where he's a airline pilot is the best. He has Dean laughing so hard he's crying.

I used to love watching these roasts with my grandparents.  they were hysterical.  no one worrying about feelings.  just pure fun.

The Story goes, that Foster Brooks checked with Mrs Rickles before doing this routine, and wanted to make sure it was okay with her because she was also the butt of the jokes. Supposedly she told him, "Go get him!" 😁 It was a different time, one I wish we could get back. <br>  I enjoy your reactions. Keep them up!

These were completely non-vulgar TV programs, but I can well imagine the full proceedings of these occasions included portions "not intended for broadcast" that were quite different, performed in order to keep the participants and the audience in a "good mood", and to make it easier for the performers to "stay clean" when they needed to for the broadcast portions!
