  What's your favorite method for painting FDM minis?

  FDM printing is the real gamechanger. Its easy. its cheap. Its fairly non-toxic.<br>I have had great results with panel lining miniatures with Gunpla markers. It helps pushing out details more and looks very crisp on a mini that is only painted with base-colours instead of speedpaints.

  As a FDM restricted person myself I very much appreciate videos like this! I&apos;ve been pleasantly surprised with the level of quality FDM can do but any info i can get is appreciated. looking forward to seeing your settings, &nbsp;particularly for supports, I do have issues with scarring when removing these...

  Use the &quot;Fat Dragon Games&quot; print profile for the A1 mini together with Sunlu Meta PLA and you will get the closest to resin-quality using FDM currently possible.

  So, something to note; The clips of the painted models he is showing does show the odd layer line but generally it&apos;s not as bad as I was expecting However, that&apos;s at a huge degree of magnification. The real world piece probably looks very good and most of the layer lines are likely unnoticeable. I&apos;m impressed.

  A trick I recently learned is that to get a smoother coverage on models with speed paint is to actually paint the part in speedpaint medium first and while its still wet paint on the speed paint. The medium layer needs to be fairly light, dont just glob it on, but it gives the paint extra flow and helps prevent pooling especially on flat surfaces.

  I&apos;m only halfway through the video but it&apos;s definitely the kind of vid I wanted to see; knowing that, because you&apos;re not a &apos;pro&apos; painter (not meant as an insult), the results are more like how they&apos;d be if I did it, is brilliant. It leaves me feeling more confident about trying it for myself. Thanks for making this; sometimes I just need to see a dude like me getting results I&apos;d get.

  I could see another method of painting FDM is leaning into the grim dark aesthetic of texture; using painting and products with micro-grains like many &quot;rust&quot; texture paints or even baking soda and basing rocks. You can use muck, grim, and rust to cover up any &quot;bleh&quot; areas and it tells a story!
