  Thanks Chris. As usual a very nice video. I recently stumbled onto a seniors group that was being instructed on how to install and use ChromeOs on their PCs as an alternative to Windows. You know that Microsoft has really stuffed up when grandmothers are actively taught how to install an operating system instead of the crocheting! Anyway, I pitched in and recommended FydeOs, which I had installed on one of my very old machines. With a beautiful blend of cloud and Android apps, that PC literally sings. The Linux subsystem was beyond our scope, but, I'm of the opinion that if I need Linux, I would use Linux.

  I installed ChromeOS Flex on an old work laptop recently. It runs very nicely but will mainly be a last resort system in case of both of our Windows 11 laptops failing or being in use elsewhere.

  Great post! I did this a few years ago and it was the best thing i ever did. Working from the cloud gives me compatibility between my Samsung tab, fone, HP laptop which was once Win10 now Chrome Flex OS, my iMac running Linux mint, my old Chromecast and my new Google TV streamer. RIP all Microsoft products and headaches!
