My theory is that it was Br’er Fox and Br’er Bear where actually the one’s who got in the boat with the author, then Br’er Fox grabbed his shoulder because they were planing to kill him next

I actually theorize the giant thing that chased the narrator up the lift was B'rer Bear and the entity that climbed into the boat and grabbed the narrator's shoulder was B'rer Fox

I've seen the movie, Song of the South. Now that I watched it and listened to this creepypasta again; I now think I know what this creepypasta's message means, symbolistically speaking.

This is why I don’t want to go the splash mountain at night but I only go on The Daylight time

Jesus Christ it's been a while since I actually had some relative unease with a creepypasta, I can clearly see this happening like some very lucid nightmare and it works well the imagery and mystery of it all!

It almost makes wanna try something similar... But with a drone or something camera wise but given its Supernatural aesthetic and something that seems to be experienced solo well maybe I obviously don't have the balls to encounter such can you blame him/me?! XD
