  Small Correction:<br><br>All of existence is not within Azathoth&apos;s dream. Not a single one of Lovecraft&apos;s works mentions this<br><br>It&apos;s just that when he wakes up, he will proceed to destroy all of existence

  I feel like noting that in the story Hypnos there is no character named Hypnos. The word Hypnos, meaning sleep, is carved into the remains of the narrator&apos;s friend, but no character is called Hypnos. If you want to interpret Hypnos as a god that&apos;s fine, but you probably shouldn&apos;t treat it like that&apos;s what the original story was saying. Also the place the narrator&apos;s friend (Who is a normal human, presuming that they were even real in the first place) goes is never implied to be the Ultimate Chaos. It&apos;s fine to interpret it as such, but the story implies that it was a space near a certain star. We also have plenty of examples of people visiting the Ultimate Chaos and surviving. I also find it important to note that Randolph Carter never does anything remotely like what is done in the story Hypnos, and he is never suggested to know about the events of the story Hypnos. Randolph Carter also never visits the Ultimate Chaos, none of the Other Gods ever told him anything, and the Silver Gate isn&apos;t a thing. Also of course in Lovecraft&apos;s stories Azathoth isn&apos;t dreaming reality. Ok literally everything after this point is nonsense.<br><br>No offence is meant by this, but I don&apos;t really understand the point of this video. It&apos;s pretty much just a fairly inaccurate recap of Hypnos, followed by a completely original story using a pre-existing character, that seems to be being implied to be from on of Lovecraft&apos;s stories (Which it isn&apos;t). Maybe I&apos;m simply misunderstanding something, but I don&apos;t understand what this video was trying to do. If it&apos;s simply an attempt at creating an original story to present an idea that you like, then that&apos;s much more understandably, I simply think that it&apos;s important to note that effectively none of this is from Lovecraft.<br><br>In case anyone is interested in an actual description of what Yog-Sothoth is, then here you go: Yog-Sothoth (Or to use its actual title, the Supreme Archetype) is the leader of a species of formless beings called the Archetypes, who dwell in a space it calls the Ultimate Abyss. These beings reflect down into lower dimensions, and in doing so create every being in existence throughout every stage of their life (For example the Supreme Archetype is what all great artists, great thinkers, and great wizards come from), and in doing so the illusions of time and space are created. Certain rituals performed on lower dimensions seem to call upon the Archetypes (Or at least the Supreme Archetype) to perform certain effects. As for things that dwell outside of reality (Such as the Other Gods, their Soul and Messenger Nyarlathotep, and Azathoth) we don&apos;t know whether they are also reflections of the Archetypes, or whether they are able to interact with the reflections of the Archetypes while being outside of them (I favour the latter explanation).

  Yog-Sothoth knows the gate. Yog-Sothoth is the gate. Yog-Sothoth is the key and guardian of the gate. Past, present, future, all are one in Yog-Sothoth. He knows where the Old Ones broke through of old, and where They shall break through again. He knows where They have trod earth&apos;s fields, and where They still tread them, and why no one can behold Them as They tread.

  It’s never actually stated in the books or anything that azathoth dreams reality, only that he will destroy it all after he wakes up. Other then that this is probably one of the only videos that actually talk about the gods in the Cthulhu mythos, so good job
