  I finally pulled the trigger on a pair of the 03s. &nbsp;I just put them up about an hour ago, swapped out my Kali IN-8 V2&apos;s. &nbsp;Before putting them up a listened to a mix I recently did and a few commercially produced songs I&apos;m very familiar with and know well. &nbsp;First off -- these speakers are loud. &nbsp;I had my monitor controller set exactly the same and when I listed to the first tune I was like &quot;holy shite!!&quot;. &nbsp;At least 3db level increase compared to the IN-8s. &nbsp;I listened to a bunch of stuff, so much so I had to take a break. &nbsp;After only an hour or so my impression is they have a preciseness the IN-8&apos;s lack, specifically in the midrange and topend. &nbsp;Transients are well represented. &nbsp;Imaging seems wider (not sure why), and plenty of clean lowend for my on the smaller side treated mix room. &nbsp;I need more time with them, but, the wow-factor so far is pretty high.

  I’ve owned the MM27’s gen 2, footprint 01, focal twin 6be, these footprint 03 are by far my favorite and most impressive.especially for its size

  I worked at a studio for a few years that had a pair of MM-27&apos;S, and words cannot express the punch and clarity of those things. I&apos;d never experienced that level of detail in any listening environment. I loved my old Mackie 824&apos;s, but once I heard the Barefoots I went home feeling a little envious.

  I use them in midfield scenario (~1,5m from listening position) in vertical position, with mid driver on inner side. Gives great inSight in recording, my impression is they do not have any coloration itself and sound as recording played through them. It&apos;s great tool for evaluation of the mix. I tested lot of best budget monitors but this is significant step up and gives much more possibilities. I had impression that budget 2 way designs (below 1k$) sound the same on each recording and let you just adjust proportions between bass , middle, treble. This opens new possibilities to evaluate colors. MIM let you also check very fast how the mix sound on systems without highs and lows, which simulates playback on bluetooth speakers, TVs, laptop speakers or mobiles. Overall impression is great tool for producers worth every penny. &nbsp;I use them together with ARC studio calibration to eliminate bass coloration from the room. This is must have for any speaker regardless for budget.

  These speakers are looking great! I love my CLA10as and Eve Audio SC2070s combo so much that I think I wouldn&apos;t benefit that much from them but I consider PDP MUM8s or ATCs SCM25a pro mk2 in the future :)
