  The Others made me so spooked when I saw it at age 13. And it’s still such a good movie. Great foggy atmosphere.

  Someone mentioned The Uninvited and I want to second that recommendation. The 1944 version starring Ray Milland, Ruth Hussey, and Donald Crisp. It has a great cast, &nbsp;a spooky old school haunted house atmosphere, and an unhinged performance by Cornelia Otis Skinner. One of my all time favorites along with The Spiral Staircase (1946) and The Changeling (1980). Thanls so much for your brilliant videos!!!

  “The Others” is freaking scary!!! Another one I really liked is “What Lies Beneath” with Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer

  I&apos;m old so I cut my teeth on some of these. I still maintain that the 1963 Robert Wise &quot;The Haunting&quot; is the best ghost story ever filmed and there are no (visible) ghosts in the movie! But I&apos;ve come to realize that we&apos;ve raised a generation of internet/cell phone kids that have become so inured to graphic visible mostly bloody horror movies that something like The Haunting will be a yawner for them. I am much more frightened by what MIGHT be behind the door than what is actually behind the door. It&apos;s a real challenge for a film maker to create a special effect or costume that is going to be more terrifying than my imagination. I love this channel, Sinead. Please keep it up!

  Repulsion, starring Catherine Deneuve, is one of the scariest movies I&apos;ve seen. 1965. &nbsp;Phychological thriller for sure!

  I would add to this list the 1974 Australian film Picnic at Hanging Rock—psychological horror and a terrific unsolved mystery. &nbsp;Excellent film score as well. &nbsp;The scenery is ravishing, and it’s SO atmospheric. &nbsp;And an old-timey classic: &nbsp;Alfred Hitchcock’s 1940 adaptation of Daphne du Maurier’s Rebecca, another story of brooding dread in a big old mansion with an innocent heroine and a creepy &nbsp;housekeeper.

  It’s not supernatural but it is about a kind of haunting and the atmosphere is quite uncanny: Don’t Look Now, with Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie. Venice looks beautifully creepy.
