  So many of LOTR casting choices were Peter Jackson not casting the actors in the roles they wanted, but rather the roles they were best suited for. Genius casting by Jackson that really elevated these masterpieces

  Hill&apos;s performance was so genuine. I&apos;m not surprised to learn his commitment to realism that made the role of Theoden more than it would have been. His recommendations were spot on and I&apos;m glad Jackson, Walsh and Boyens took most of his suggestions.<br><br>There was one other suggestion Hill made regarding the scene at Helms Deep. He told Jackson that the King would not directly issue the command to start firing arrows at the Uruk Hai. He would ask a lieutenant to issue the command to the archers.<br><br>Thank you for the video, Gibby.
