i'm from Syracuse, italy and i would like to clarify a little thing about the Greek Theater: it is still used today for events such as theatre events where people buy a ticket and watch actors performing, so this is probably why the Theater has modern constructions on it

The Greek amphitheater is built over only while the theater is in use. (Seasonal)

If you visited during the summer season, you will definitely be surrounded by other tourists and tour groups. If that’s not your style, I highly recommend visiting here in the spring or fall. The temperatures are gorgeous and there will be fewer tourists & groups. PS the 105 bus will get you there if it’s too hot to walk!

Many people from the US are 'blown away by the old buildings', when what they actually mean is the architecture. Many of the houses in this video will have been built in the last 50 years, using tried and tested architectural designs and with traditional materials.

2700 anni fa non esistevano prigionieri politici ma prigionieri di guerra o schiavi il teatro greco in estate viene usato per rappresentazione classiche dopo viene smontato tutto e ritorna nel suo aspetto originale
