Is there GOLD in these EYES?! Or did I just make the BIGGEST mistake ever!! #Woodturning #Laburnum

The EYES Have IT! I Found a Face in this LOG, did I ruin It! #woodturning The eyes have it! This laburnum crotch piece had one of the strangest shapes I’ve ever mounted on the lathe… it genuinely looked like a face staring back at me. In this woodturning project I take on a challenging laburnum crotch, dealing with uneven grain, natural voids, and unpredictable cuts to create a unique vase. Crotch wood is always full of surprises, and laburnum is no exception—dense, detailed, and not always forgiving. This one pushed me all the way through the turning process, from roughing and shaping to sanding and finishing, constantly wondering… did I ruin it? A very unusual piece, and one I won’t forget in a hurry. Thanks for watching and feel free to leave comments in the chat below.
