  Fuel pumps don&apos;t start drawing from the bottom of the tank when the fuel level drops; they ALWAYS draw from the bottom of the tank no matter the fuel level. &nbsp;That&apos;s where the pickup and filter live.

  At <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZeR3F2_km0&amp;t=773">12:53</a> you talk about shops not doing cross rotation of tires, but the tires you show at that moment are directional and must not be cross rotated. &nbsp;Ever.

  We always start motor dont touch e xcellorator. Let go till rpm comes down. We also dont shift till. Suv is completly stopped. There are lots of things to do. Great fuel. Best oil and filter at 3000 miles. Tranny at every 30000 miles antifreeze etc

  do these japanese tricks actually work on modern cars with tons of complex electronics or are they mostly just for older simple engines

  In 2017 I bought a used 2007 5.7L Toyota Tundra for cheap and the three previous owners failed to follow any of this advice during the first 270,000 miles, the transmission had been replaced before bought the truck, the fuel pump failed the day after I drove the truck home, a head gasket failed at 315,000 and cylinder wall scoring was discovered after the heads were removed. I have repaired and replaced everything that failed over the last 8 years making this rust free truck a reliable daily driver, and I maintain it following Toyota&apos;s &quot;Special Operating Conditions&quot; protocol... the truck has 326,000 miles and the motor has just 91,000 miles.<br><br>For maximum benefit clean the throttle body when you change the air filter, then reset your ECU.
