  I don't know why you write that he humiliates her and allows others around him to humiliate her. It's like when you spit in the air, and it all comes back in your face. He's the one who humiliates himself and is mocked through her.

  There is an ending! &nbsp;Spoiler Alert: &nbsp;Don&apos;t read if you don&apos;t want to know the ending. &nbsp;I know a lot of viewers are upset with the cliffhanger here... so let me give you some hope. &nbsp;First, this drama is based on a Chinese novel called (In English) &quot;After Three Years of Cold War, When I Asked for Divorce He Knelt Down&quot; by 二桥 (Er Qiao). The male lead&apos;s name is Pei Ji and female lead is Wen Ci. &nbsp;The ML Pei Ji appears to be a horrible jerk... but there are a lot of misunderstandings that the movie doesn&apos;t explain well. The reason the ML Pei Ji (Julian) is so cold to his wife Wen Ci (Cadence) is because when they were still young before marriage (about 19 years old), Pei Ji witnessed her going into a hotel room and spending the night with his brother - while Pei Ji (Julian) waited outside the hotel room the entire night, heartbroken. &nbsp;This was part of his brother&apos;s scheming to destroy Pei Ji. &nbsp;So, for years he thought his wife (Cadence) Wen Ci cheated on him. &nbsp;This misunderstanding was reinforced by (Cadence) Wen Ci&apos;s pregnancy and a paternity test that showed Pei Ji&apos;s brother as the father. &nbsp;Wen Ci at this same time has a car accident and develops traumatic brain injury so Pei Ji sends her to Songjian Villa (Pinebrook Villa) to care for her. &nbsp;She has the child and (Julian) Pei Ji keeps it hidden from her - while he still believes the baby is his brother&apos;s and Wen Ci&apos;s. &nbsp;Wen Ci never knows she has this child because of her traumatic brain injury, nor can she clear up any misunderstandings. However, Pei Ji keeps the child hidden and protected from his brother&apos;s view. This all happens four years before their marriage (and seven years before the book/drama begins with Wen Ci asking for a divorce). So, for seven years Pei Ji (Julian) believes Wen Ci (Cadence) cheated on him and had a baby with his brother. &nbsp;And Wen Ci doesn&apos;t know a thing. So, the reason Pei Ji is dotes on Vivian (Qin Wei Wei - in the novel) is because he made a vow to the Qin family to care and protect her for life since he believes Wen Ci (Cadence) caused the accident of Qin Wei&apos;s sister, putting her in a vegetative state. And this is only the beginning half of the novel.... The misunderstandings continue because Wen Ci never realizes all the things Pei Ji has done for her to protect her. &nbsp;Now, that doesn&apos;t excuse all the horrible things Pei Ji (Julian) says to Wen Ci (Cadence), or the fact that he never clears up the belief that he has something going on with Qin Wei (Vivian) - which he never did. &nbsp;Those are unforgivable. &nbsp;Also, he doesn&apos;t stick up for Wen Ci in front of his so-called friends and set the record straight, but this is because he believes the things they are saying about her are true - like she drugged him and caused Qin Wei&apos;s sister&apos;s accident. Still unforgivable. His cruel behavior is in part because of his resentment towards her for having an affair with his brother (which is untrue). &nbsp;But... as the novel moves on, Wen Ci (Cadence) finally gets her divorce and undergoes hypnosis to help her forget Pei Ji (Julian). &nbsp;Wen Ci becomes independent and lives well without Pei Ji. &nbsp;However, Pei Ji still continues to pursue her and this is where his reckoning occurs and he realizes all the hurt that he bestowed upon her. &nbsp;He understands the pain, loneliness and depression he put her through. &nbsp;Now, that phone call.... &nbsp;Who is living at Pinebrook Villa (Songjian Villa in the novel)? &nbsp;You can probably guess. &nbsp;It is Pei Ji and Wen Ci&apos;s daughter Mumu who is now seven years old. &nbsp;The child has a lot of illnesses so she has a female caregiver living there with her that Pei Ji only keeps because she is able to heal her daughter&apos;s illness. &nbsp;This causes more misunderstandings. Wen Ci at first still does not know it is her own child. &nbsp;Pei Ji (after all his deceiving) still doesn&apos;t tell Wen Ci that Mumu is her daughter and even wants the daughter to help him deceive her. &nbsp;The daughter has an immediate attachment to Wen Ci and does not want to lie to her mom. &nbsp;There are more dramatic plots in the storyline, but in the end, all is revealed and Wen Ci and Pei Ji reunite their love and continue to raise their daughter together. &nbsp;This is a super long novel that hopefully will be made into a full-length series. &nbsp;The story with all its plots and twists is worth it. &nbsp;Hope this helps 😊

  Él le recuerda fijo las palabras de ella; &quot; me prometiste que siempre me amarías, que siempre estarías a mi lado&quot; pero se olvida, a posta, que es él quien la dejó de lado, quien la abandonò, la maltrató y permitió que TODOS también lo hicieran. Acaban en la cama después de suplicarle volver y, una vez conseguido el objetivo,f....vuelve a tratarla igual, con desprecio. Decepcionante que ella cediera al sexo con él...
