  I’ve noticed that when you’re playing music, you always catch a nice fish. Maybe if you played it the whole time you’re fishing you could fill your boat! Maybe that would be cheating? I don’t know. I sure love your channel! It’s always good to see you and your father hanging out together😊  I miss mine. Thank you for being here!!

  I was born &amp; raised central Iowa. &nbsp;Always remember a trip with my grandfather and father to the banks of the Red River.<br>This around 1958. &nbsp;No boat fishing banks river almost out of its banks. &nbsp;Gramps hooked one that looked a little bigger<br>than your toad. &nbsp;He couldn&apos;t it get up the bank so he made me hold his hand and lowered me over the bank to grab it<br>with my hand and then he was going to haul us both up. &nbsp;Bad, bad plan! &nbsp;I looked that monster in the eye.<br>Put my hand in his mouth. He throw the hook. &nbsp;Gramps pulled me back up to high ground laughing all the way.<br>I frequently tell the Red River story 70 years later. &nbsp;Never forgot it. &nbsp;They had heard the same story as you<br>Spence. &nbsp;Red River had 20 or 30 pound monsters but I seen one but we never caught one.

  Hi Spencer,i lived in a small Minnesota town &nbsp;just north of Fargo in my youth.Perley Minn was my stompin grounds an i often walked across a small feild from my house to fish the river.No big uglies or blues up there so the Channel Rats grow quite large.that river floods really bad due to the south to north direction it flows and after many,many times having to clean up floodwater from both my parents house an my Grandparents home and Biz we moved to the Detroit Lakes area in Minn,and i ended up in So,illinois as my folks were in the airforce.its been 36yrs since i was up in Perely,Mn.we buried my gramp up there and as much as i wanted to do some fishin we were pressed on time to get &nbsp;everything taken care of for Gramp,and get back to our Shop and keep up the Grind.It&apos;s awesome u got to fish the Red River of the North with your Dad,cool vid forsure!!!

  Take all the trips you can with your pappy . Mine passed April 16th this yr .

  The older I get, the more I realize I am just like my dad with the sayings and mannerisms I use. Hearing you and your dad both say “he’s a dandy” warms my heart. Hope y’all have many more great trips together.

  So great that you take your dad and he enjoys it. &nbsp; Nothing better than fishing with your pops. &nbsp;My pops is 88 and his fishing days are about done. &nbsp; Enjoy every moment you can together.
