  What really upsets me about Torsåker and the big noise is that Hornaeus, the priest, is buried in his church while the remains of his 70 victims were thrown into the lake!

  Blåkulla does not mean Blue mountain. &quot;Kulla&quot; is an old word for woman, particularly used in Dalarna (where the first case took place). So it literally means Blue woman. However, Blåkulla is actually a noa-name for an island called Blå Jungfrun. People were scared of saying the actual name out loud, so they gave it a similar nickname. Blå Jungfrun means Blue maiden.

  The Great Noise reminds me of the Salem witch hysteria. Both were started by kids. But there were many more killed in Sweden than in Salem.

  Since it&apos;s almost easter soon and we have this insane tradition called påskkärring it&apos;s crazy how we dress upp children as witches and make them go ask the neighbours for candy - its a huge contrast to what happend in the 1600s.

  I always feel lucky that i was born in modern times. Too think how hard &nbsp;life would have been back then and all someone had to do was point their finger at you and call you a witch and next thing you know youre burning at the stake
