  Great video! &nbsp;Another tip very early game is you don&apos;t have silk touch yet, bring a crafting table and craft your mined materials into blocks I.e blocks of raw copper, blocks of raw iron, blocks of redstone etc. &nbsp;This still works a little more efficiently than silk touch in terms of inventory space if you have more than two stacks of anything. &nbsp;<br><br>Once you do have silk touch and don&apos;t feel like building a gold farm yet, mine the netherrack gold ore with silk touch and smelt it without breaking it - it produces 1 gold ingot for every block. &nbsp;Even with fortune 3 giving you a 20% chance to increase the drops up to 2,3,or 4 times up to 25 nuggets this method gives you better rates overall unless you&apos;re having a particularly fortunate day. &nbsp;FOMO may discourage some from using it though.

  Counter tip #1: For redstone and lapis, use silk touch, on diamonds, iron, coal, and gold, use fortune three and then craft them into blocks. For copper, find a trial ruins with a villager.<br><br>Counter tip #2: if you don’t want to create an iron golem farm, for whatever reason, there is something called a tuff iron vein, usually you can find these in deep slate caves with a lot of air exposure. It is literally just a MASSIVE vein of iron, sometimes containing multiple blocks of raw iron, sometimes you can get up to 4 stacks of raw iron in these veins and all you have to do is mine all the tuff to discover them. Annoying but now tuff has different variations and can now be used in building so I would keep it.

  When strip mining I actually recommend making the side tunnels every 4 blocks instead of 3; this is because buried ores almost never spawn as just one, so you’re very likely to hit at least part of the vein.<br><br>Also, in addition to the side tunnels i recommend digging down as well, especially when mining for diamonds that have their rates increase the lower you go.

  Today was the day I realised I&apos;ve spent too long away from this game because when you got to gold and I said &quot;well it only spawns that high in a mesa&quot; and yet the word &apos;badlands&apos; was on my screen. To say I was confused was an understatement! I had to take a long detour to find out a LOT has changed since I last played let alone all the things that were added! &nbsp;Thanks for a great video on mining levels (although with this new copper update coming in I wouln&apos;t be suprised if theres more to change!)

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSNMtyfoFlg&amp;t=975">16:15</a> a tip for anyone unaware, the reason this works is bc in bedrock holding left click actually delays ur mining of a block slightly if you just broke a block. So after you break a block ur out of range of the next block and since ur walking forward ur instantly mining again. You can combat this by mining a block, letting go of left click, and then mining the next block, its WAY FASTER.

  Deepslate takes much longer to mine than stone. &nbsp;So in the case of lappis and gold you find more more quickly at a slightly higher elevation even though the distribution is marginally lower.<br>While In the case of redstone and diamond the increased distribution is more than enough to compensate.<br>Basically ores per hour depends on more than just Y elevation.<br><br>Likewise your strip mining method 2 with side channels to expose every block at the that y level is probs overkill as most ores generate in clusters within rock. So you&apos;d cover more ground faster without reducing the chance to find ore veins with more spaced out &nbsp;side channels
