  The men who make decisions out of fear, by taking a secret second wife, so first wife won’t take away property and kids, are men who shouldn’t marry to begin with.

  I don&apos;t understand why some men think that a man&apos;s fear that his wife may take his children and wealth in the event of divorce is a valid reason to get a secret second wife, but when a woman says she wants to work because she fears being left destitute in the event of a divorce all of a sudden its &apos;you shouldn&apos;t be preparing for divorce&apos;. <br>It sounds like some men just want women to be the only ones to make sacrifice while they have it all. <br>If as a man your fears are valid then why not a woman&apos;s? <br> <br>It sounds like a lack of rahma and trust in marriages like the sister mentioned. Unfortunately a major issue today. May Allah grant us all ease.

  This is crazy! Many men can&apos;t even handle a single wife. Why on earth are men marrying a second woman, especially secretly? I personally couldn&apos;t handle my first ex-wife. Forget about marrying a second woman. I&apos;ve decided to live a celibate life for the rest of my existence. This isn&apos;t to put shade on women out there, as I&apos;m sure there are good women out there. I personally simply don&apos;t want to marry another woman again.

  Can we talk about how polygamous marriages are not for everyone. Everyone’s level of iman , context and capacity is different. For the man and woman. Some men struggle in being just not on financial level alone, but rather emotional, mental level too. He has left his first emotionally starved. And now wants second? Whereas A woman may genuinely severely struggle with such a set up. Does she not have a right to choose the kind of lifestyle she has for her own life? Does she have to accept it? If she will genuinely fall out of love/connection with her husband, because of polygymy- she is allowed to leave the marriage then? She shouldn’t be forced. It’s really simple - talk about these topics before marriage. If a man wants polygymy eventually don’t accept a woman who is completely no no towards it - thinking I will force her in the end.

  Women do have strong desire for sex but women do have desire for respect, privacy and protection is the first and the foremost one! And to be truthful and honest with your spouse is completely mans responsibility

  Polygamy is permitted to meet the needs of women and men which can not be met otherwise.<br><br>However, like any rule, if not used with its spirit, it can create more mess. That’s the bottom line.
