Best helmet cam footage I’ve seen is from Stockton fire. They have all their stuff dialed in and are aggressive

As someone who lives in Tulsa and listens to TFD's calls on my scanner all the time , I have to say that TFD has got their SHuff together right down to station location. Tulsa has 30 (soon to be 31) stations amongst 5 districts. Each house has an engine and a ladder company assigned, except for approximately 4 or 5 that have a single engine. These stations are laid out so well and precisely that it seem, 9 out 10 times, the first in crew has the main body knocked down before most of the other companies even arrive on seen. Each and every call, the first engine to arrive assumes fire attack with the Capt. of the very next company to arrive, usually a ladder co., taking command ( until the district chief arrives). He or she will start assigning specific tasks, whether it's water supply, search and rescue, rapid response, etc., to each arriving company. That's what makes this department so good and efficient. Another thing worth raving about is response time. Usually it's no more than a minute to minute and a half between first and second call. The scond call doesn't go out until the first in company or station is rolling out.

I'm at 6:40 right now. From a non firefighter standpoint (but Federal Disaster Relief) I noticed that "fast and aggressive" does not mean running around. Up to given time in the video every firefighter was moving quickly and controlled, not running and not stumbling around.
There is a sentence I learned from a firefighter once: "If you want to be fast, you have to do it slowly." Well, "slow" is the literal and correct translation. It is not meant to be really slow, but in a life fire situation (or any stressful situation), you will be faster if you hold back yourself just enough to do things right.

That is what I would call well trained and very coordinated. No wasted movements and everybody had a job.

Man from the bottom of my heart, thank you for making this channel. I can almost fully credit your channel for preparing me for questions that I faced in my interview process. I got a conditional offer at a great career department in a big city after less than a year of trying with no volunteer or part time experience. Thank you sir 🤝

As a retired firefighter this video gave me great satisfaction as to how fast they had a charged line ready to attack. So many videos are so disturbing to see as firefighters fiddle around and not take aggressive action which then allows the fire to grow unnecessarily. Great job Tulsa. 👍

Awesome video! As someone who lives in Tulsa, and has friends with TFD, and visits them commonly, I can say THIS IS Tulsa Fire. TFD is one of the best Departments in the nation and offers high class, detailed, and in-depth training. TFD takes only the best, no compromise. Great guys with TFD and, unsurprisingly, this is typical TFD.

Protecting Tulsa since 1900

Gotta agree, well choreographed/practiced attack. I said as much on the original vid. Nice to see a pro's evaluation.

I love an aggressive crew that wants to get after it. The attack itself was great. One thing I would like to offer. Proper FE utilizes tools that are at our disposal, control your environment and save your foot. Keep doin' work.
