The greatest single game ever played by an individual player.  We are witnessing history

Ohtani: “Shohei’s three homers made it easy for me to just focus and pitch comfortably.”<br>Shohei: “Ohtani’s pitching gave me the confidence to swing freely at the plate.”

If a player hits 3 homeruns in a postseason game, that is as epic &amp; historic as it gets. &nbsp; If another player pitches 6 shutout innings and strikes out 10 in a clinching game, that is one of the greatest performances in team history. &nbsp; Now, imagine one player doing both of those things in the same game. &nbsp; It is as unimaginable to the human mind as picturing what 100 light years means in space time.

I lived in Philadelphia my entire 74 years of living and for the first time I wish I grew up in LA because of this player. I&apos;ve never seen a better baseball player in my life. If Bob Gibson could hit like Mike Schmidt and Schmidt could pitch like Gibson, you would have a Shohei. Except for personal qualities. A great team player and team mate, and a great sport to the opposite team&apos;s players were qualities that Schmidt and Gibson did not have. Shohei is probably the greatest player ever.

As a Phils fan I’m still a little bitter about the Dodgers eliminating us, but you can’t help root for a team with Shohei in it. Just an incredible player.

I am a Giants fan and lifetime Dodgers hater. I am also a gentleman, fair, and honest. What we saw Ohtani do is perhaps the greatest performance by a single player in a game in the history of baseball. I also believe he is the best athlete in ALL of professional sports (baseball, football, basketball, soccer, hockey, etc, etc) right now, period. What a privilege to witness this. Nothing but respect 🫡

Last year I was in Japan and all the sports shops had Shohei Ohtani gear everywhere. I thought, Who is this guy? I have since found out and simply love watching him play. I&apos;m a &nbsp;Dodgers fan in Australia because of Shohei.
