  not sure if you know, but in runs where you are going to use a weapon you have to farm for, you can pick the Rusted Golden Coin as your burial gift. You get 7 of them, and it gives you 100 item discovery for a minute (which basically doubles the base drop rate of any weapon, so 4% chance for black knight greatsword would become 8%) it makes farming runs a lot faster

  also, there is a twinkling titanite lizard at firelink shrine. do tree jump and go around the roof and past the sword master, it will be in plain sight
