  This is beautiful. As a CT native who is renovating a 1790's farmhouse in central VT, the concept of being a steward  of the house and land is exactly how I feel as well. Your house is gorgeous!!

  The greek revival trim is drop dead gorgeous!!!  Nothing can compare to an old house.They have so much personality.   These details are just stunning!  I love the green paint on the trim.❤

  I was born in Sharon CT. My Grandfather(Charles Marvin Doty Sr)/Aunts/Uncles are all at rest there. I remember this place. Of course Sharon is rich in old houses. Im so glad for these old places to be restored.

  I would love to see this home and know what it’s like to live there. It’s so beautiful. The work involved is incredible. The picturesque landscape is so reminding me of parts of Iowa. Except there aren’t stone fences. What a peaceful place.

  Lucky enough to call this part of CT home . There are , including this home some truly incredible properties .  Highly recommend just driving these back roads .

  I've been watching this video on repeat. Enjoying this home and the talented homeowners very much. Oftentimes in my opinion New England style homes are a tad too simplistic, too bare bones Shaker style for my taste, or else veer towards the heavily cliched nautical, or too large and "Newport" (RI). This is one of the first homes from this part of the country that I can't take my eyes off. It could be because they've stayed extremely faithful to the farmhouse that it always was meant to be. They've restored and refreshed it with obviously a lot of love and attention. I love what Heide and Rafe have done in terms of pattern and color throughout the home. I enjoyed seeing their children in the background as well. Just ordered their book about this home, too!
