  According to this video only elegant women are elite either in business or status; they are professional. As a college student I was a minimalist. As a teacher and mother I went larger and added needed objects. Now as an older woman added necessities include medications ( which are by Law required to be in original containers), wipes/hand sanitizers and bandaids. Why bandaids? From playgrounds to weddings I have provided them and prevented bloodstains. Independent woman are more than a curated bag.

  I clean out my purse every evening, also the change that has accumulated during the day. &nbsp; What I carry: &nbsp;wallet, lipstick case, first aid (band aids, aspirin, inhaler, eye drops for dry eyes), tissues, small appointment book, pen, sunglasses, and incontinence pad (yes, some women need to have bladder pads). &nbsp; All are compartmentalized in their own little bag.

  You can call me classy or not but if we are stuck on an elevator for 3 days or left at a remote outpost...this ex- military girl will make sure you survive any ordeal. I never go anywhere without a flashlight, backup power bank, peanuts, power bar, lighter, a bottled water and my Swiss army knife. And it all fits in my Fendi bag .

  My mother drilled into me to change handbags every time I change my shoes, and I only carry small bags. I keep a few IDs/charge cards, one nice pen, sunglasses, reading glasses, one lip gloss, car keys and my phone. Occasionally, I have mints and tissues.
