So wild! Scott Ruskan who just saved 169 people in the floods in Texas is in this video. I literally searched “USCG rescue swimmer training” and this was the first video. All that training paid off!

I promise you everyone in the class is glad Austin is there to slow down the instructers. When I was in the army we had this big guy that could bench press a mountain but sucked at runs and I was glad he was there.

The coast guards are really crazy, in terms of dealing with fear, their physical conditions and on top of that, they face THE mother nature. They're definitely some of the top 1% in shape compared to any branch of the military and paramilitary combined.<br><br>Huge respect for those. 💪

Guys train for months to pass the 'rescue swimmer' course so even though Austen's in pretty good shape AST skills are above and beyond, KUDOS Austen!!
