  Based on my experience with multiple generations of the Pajero—spanning from 1994 to 2016—as well as various other SUVs from brands like Nissan, Jeep, Toyota, and Isuzu, I would choose the Pajero without a doubt.

  Here in the Philippines, rather the Stealippines, when the 2nd gen Pajero/Montero Sport was launched it was selling like hotcakes seriously threatening the Toyota Fortuner's huge piece of the pie and what happened next? Mitsubishi attracted heat perhaps from an obvious competitor and soon after, dumb issues about SUA (Sudden Unintended Acceleration) suddenly came up against the Pajero/Montero Sport just to break that streak and for bad publicity just because everything is going so well for Mitsubishi due to its much more sensible options compared to the competition.

  Both cars have 200 hp diesels, which are barely enough. Previous Pajero was moving relatively good with 3.8L 6G75 at 250 hp. Prado has in some markets 2.4L turbo petrol with 280 hp, which is unreliable, and their latest 2.8L diesel engine with adblue is worse than previous 3.0L diesel. Pajero might get 2.0 turbo-petrol (220-260 hp), which is currently being used in Dong Feng Paladin and some other vehicles.<br><br>I am waiting for a Pajero with petrol engine. Prado is way overpriced for what it is.

  winner in range is not conclusive as you claim because the fuel efficiency of pajero is not yet known &amp; could be far more efficient than prado, and thus, could offset the larger fuel capacity of prado. but nice comprehensive review nonetheless

  The armrest on the Pajero is narrow compared to the Toyota. The Pajero has become 11 centimeters wider than the Pajero Sport 3, but where did those centimeters go? Visually, it doesn&apos;t feel like it inside on video. Outside, yes, the increased width is noticeable, but not on the inside. Mitsubishi installed large seats with pronounced side bolstering, which is ridiculous for a 2.4 engine. Instead, they should have used flatter seats and made the center armrest wider.
