  To show the inside is actually clean, you should drive toward the sun in the morning. I thought my window was clean, but the sun made it look like i cleaned it with a used tissue.

  Just making sure the glass is clean before a night drive makes a huuuge difference in glare from cars/signs, feels so much safer.

  respectfully, as a retired master detailer, I have to add this.<br>Every vehicle ever made (on the inside) has to deal with off-gassing from plastic, rubber, carpets and the worst is leathers. And this off-gassing sticks to all surfaces including your windshield (windscreen for those of you across the pond) and with temp changes it sets the windshield to fog up. All my years having tried so many different methods to reduce fogging on the windshield and never found one that really lasts. <br><br><br>Great technique for cleaning glass when you are experienced and you showed people the proper way to use a squeegee, nicely done young man!

  My dad was an old school window cleaner, he taught me the best for cleaning glass was washing up liquid and some vinegar in water, and for the ultimate sparkle scrunched up newspaper to dry.

  And if you do decide to use a glass cleaner instead, then do outside with vertical swipes, inside with horizontal swipes, that way if you find a smear then you know which side of the glass it is on.

  I tried a lot of different things over the years, glass cleaners of every description, water mixed with methanol, even tried neat acetone. However, nothing beats a plain old chamois leather rag! Streak free on chrome, painted surfaces and on glass, inside and out. No chemicals required at all.

  In my experience, majority streaks are caused by either damp towels or people cleaning from side to side. <br><br>Most people don&apos;t actually spend time cleaning the the crevice between body and glass. &nbsp;There is a lot of dirt there and it spreads when doing windows. &nbsp;<br><br>When drying windows, start from the center moving outwards, pass through the edges on the final pass. &nbsp;When you start at the edge, you are spreading the dirt that is there

  Nice tips. One thing which is also very important is wipe the wipers blades. Normally the dirt and dust would accumulate and scratch the windshield.
