By Saurabh Shukla The Strait of Hormuz is becoming the centre of a high-stakes military and diplomatic confrontation. Iran is reportedly targeting commercial vessels while the IRGC claims it has seized another US underwater drone. But is Tehran simply tightening its military grip on the waterway — or using Hormuz as leverage to force Washington back into negotiations? 👉🏽 The stakes extend far beyond the Gulf: shipping, energy markets and the credibility of US naval protection are all being tested. —— VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS 🔹 [00:00] Iran reportedly targets 19 ships in Hormuz 🔹 [02:46] Mining activity raises pressure around the Omani corridor 🔹 [03:23] IRGC claims seizure of US underwater drone 🔹 [12:06] Tehran signals readiness for prolonged war —— [00:33] IRAN REPORTEDLY TARGETS 19 SHIPS IN STRAIT OF HORMUZ Tehran is tightening pressure on one of the world’s most important shipping chokepoints. Tehran says it could reopen the waterway if those conditions are met — turning the strait into a central bargaining chip in the wider conflict.
