  That the Philippines, in general, and Dumaguete in particular, &nbsp;is less popular, is an attraction for me.

  Guys that are focused like an arrow on getting married miss the whole experience. &nbsp;There is a whole country to explore, ladies to date, and when the right one appears it’s usually unexpected. &nbsp;The focus on finding a wife is generally guys who are still working and need to import a lady, and often don’t get a lady.

  I guess I was lucky, I did everything wrong, dating sites, large city Cebu, proposed within 7 days of meeting my wife. &nbsp;I didn&apos;t know she existed before meeting. &nbsp;2 months later, I came back to Cebu and married her. And now, 18 years later, we are still married. Course, I did have some things going for me. Wife was working in Cebu City, but from a provenance 2 hours away. I was open and young enough to have children, &nbsp;38. And my wife was very conservative. And she valued what her friends, roommates, and family thought of me. Her family was very traditional. At that time, everyone was married. I was committed to making this relationship last. We have two beautiful children. Best thing I ever did.

  Hey Reekay, I came to Cebu 3 years ago on a ferry with my Filipina and the first place I stayed at was Calyx condos because I remember you stayed there before and said good things about it. It was a great place for my Cebu City introduction with the Ayala mall close by. Now 3 years later I&apos;m still in Cebu City and loving it here, but in a different condo. Also that last earthquake was a bit of a rock &amp; roll ride 30 floors up but I survived!
