  This was hilarious. I am a CSIA Level 2 ski instructor. I currently work for a snow school. I talked to a coworker who does both, and she confirmed that they are quite different. I ski almost everywhere on the mountain but I never would try snowboarding without an instructor. You 2 are athletic and would learn skiing pretty fast, and pretty well with an instructor.

  I snowboarded for 8 years. Finally caved and tried skiing. Self taught through youtube videos and was on a black diamond (east coast) at the end of hour 2. It just clicks for some people quicker than others. Now both me and my wife own skis and have gone the last 3 years. I love snowboarding but skiing is so much more fun. However when it comes to the park id much rather board than ski, but on the mountain im so glad I learned to ski (esp since some mountains are ski only)

  Ski is very good for big speed when you start carving it brings a lot of emotions. I ski really well and snowboard not bad. I love snowboarding for soft boots and i feel it much easier for physical loading your body. But carving on skies is very cool. &nbsp;It&apos;s is good to ride both.

  Holy shit dude I am in tears. At the beginning of the first run - “you CANT swing the sticks around like that”. I’ve been boarding for 20+ years and trying out skiing this year. This is absolutely hilarious lmao

  Errr, he actively declined renting a helmet yet also joking about maybe cracking his head open?! Please let’s stop pretending it’s cool to not wear a helmet. Serious head injuries happen to anyone of any skill. Why risk it?! My mum cracked her skull open during a skiing fall when she was 22 (no one wore helmets in the 80s) and was extremely lucky the only long-term effect was she lost her sense of smell. Could have been so so much worse…
