By the way incase you are curious the Color of the enemies is their "Rank" which means they are tougher/weaker (for example Blue Elites are Minors, while the Red ones are Majors which are tougher and similar to Orange Grunts being Minors and Red's being Majors)

I love how heavily this game is inspired by the movie Aliens (which I loved your reaction to on the reaction channel). The Space Marine armor and weapons are so Aliens coded along with the Pelican dropship. Even the Pillar of Autumn looks like the Sulaco from Aliens. Great start to Halo Basic!

Welcome to the Halo Universe! As some others have pointed out (and you’ve already deduced) release order is best for a first time playthrough, as it allows you to experience the games in their intended way and also means that you can become accustomed to the more complex gameplay of the sequels after already having a base.

I would recommend foregoing the terminals for now, as they were added retroactively when the anniversary edition released as a way to add extra story. There are some minor spoilers for plot points in the future. Once you’ve completed each game there are plenty of videos on YouTube that showcase all the terminals, and they’re a good way to cap off the games story.

Gameplay wise I won’t spoil anything, but even in Halo CE the systems are deceptively complex…

Looking forward to following another new person experiencing my favorite franchise! And a word of advice, don’t worry about Chips Dubbo, he’s the real main character of this story lol

Always happy when the algorithm brings my Bumblebee-class lifepod crashing down on the surface of a new channel, killing everyone aboard but me. Okay, the metaphor got a little out of hand there, but I hope you enjoy your adventure on Halo. This is one of the all-time classic gaming franchises, and one I grew up with. I was so young when playing on my cousin's OG Xbox that I thought that Cortana was calling them "the Coveted" (and didn't really know what Covenant or Coveted meant) and I only replayed the first levels over and over.

As many have said here, avoid the terminals if you don't want spoilers. They were added in anniversary and not in the original.

Sup basic. Just wanted to say your mass effect playthrough was legit one of the most fun playthroughs i've watched in a while. I can't wait to see how you like the halo franchise

Make the most of enjoying the OG graphics while you can. Only the first 2 games have them, after all, but CE is where they really shine. They fit the mood a lot better, and in new graphics you'll often see textures that don't line up.

Highly recommend avoiding the terminals (which only appear on new graphics, as they never existed in the original games) for your first run. They casually spoil a lot of impacting lore details at inopportune times way before the story properly reveals them which means they're best experienced by returning players, not first-timers.
