  Those glass decorations are fishing floats. My Uncle was a lobsterman/fisherman and he had those attached to his nets in the water. We used to decorate our bedroom and cottage with them. My Grandparents lived by the Atlantic Ocean in Nova Scotia: my Cousins, Sister and I used to walk to Oak Island where there's supposedly buried treasure. Back in the 60's and 70's security was almost nonexistent though nobody was supposed to be there. We never got caught either, or maybe we were seen but allowed to snoop because the owner at the time was from the same village as my Grandparents.

  I love your sensibilities. The fact that it was crowded so you decided to take a look at the ship at, like, 2 AM to avoid getting in people's way? So thoughtful! Much better than 99% of people would be in that situation, and it lends the ship tour segment this cool, almost eerie, Backrooms-vibe, lol. I love seeing these ferry videos from Japan Travel Youtube channels; your ships are awesome.

  Man, Japan has accidentally created my ideal cruise. I'm not looking for fancy, party or club scene cruising. A nice, quiet, day and a half long cruise in a room this nice for $400 is an ideal experience for me. Just an overnight cruise experience, even if it's one way, would be the perfect stress killer.

  $400 for two nights and all your meals? That’s a good value. I’ll keep this in mind if I ever travel to Japan.
