As a Kenyan I think Ethiopia shouldn’t ask anyone to use it’s waters

The reason Egypt is losing the dam issue is because they insist African countries be bound by colonial treaties we did not sign. That idea will always be roundly rejected among African countries.

It’s so funny how Egypt & Sudan complains about water sharing that they don’t contribute a drop😂
Sudan & Egypt have natural gas can Ethiopia share that gas?

What an awkwardness, Sara is saying "We need a guarantee that Ethiopia will not touch 1 cm of our water". Imagine Ethiopia contributes 86% to the flow of the Nile and has never used a drop of water out of it. And again the lady is speaking about " Ethiopia is not respecting international law". Does she know what international law on the trans boundary water says? I am sure she doesn't. It says, 1. Fair and equitable share, 2. Not causing a significant harm and 3. Cooperation. When we look at this, Egypt says a drop of water is not allowed to be touched, that means Ethiopia can't use a mm cube of water of which she contributes 86% to its flow. This saying us against fair and equitable share:- there is no talking about this while disallowing the one that contributes more than 49BCM, not causing a significant harm (what is significant than being told you can't touch a mm cube), cooperation (how can cooperation work with greedy madness that says what's yours is all mine and what I have is only mine).

As a Kenyan we support Ethiopia ,the rivers that flows in lake Victoria come from many countries in east Africa ...does Egypt invest in the Nile downstream ,Ethiopia also needs to benefit from the Nile ,becouse it originates in Ethiopia ,Egypt is only a recipient of Nile water ...let all the countries share the Nile water without looking like the nile is a personal property that belongs to one country Egypt ,you have forgotten there is south sudan that is still poor ,they will one day need that water for their own economic gain ,the sooner these arabs realise that countries down stream also need the nile water the better ..

Yes Ethiopia doesn't need permission to use its own resources. But has no intention of harming its neighbors according to international law.

He said “We don’t need a permission” this words are coming from Ethiopia 🇪🇹 after 10 years of GDP growth, after construction of 5-6 small/big dams, after building a strong military, and after completing 97% of the GERD above all after storing 37BCM water. What an interesting time to witness 👌✈️ History in the making 🎉

Some people have no shame when they define someone’s rights as if it belongs to them.
Ethiopia, the country that contributes more than 85% of the flow to the Nile River, is finally about to get its equitable share with the financial contribution of it's own people's hard earned savings despite the international financial institutions' denial of their request for decades.
It's about time for the downstream countries, especially Egypt & Sudan to accept reality and cooperate with Ethiopia and the rest of African countries that contribute 100% to the Nile River in mitigating the climate change effect and contribute to afforestation and preservation of the Ethiopian Highlands which is the true source of the Blue Nile! This will allow all the Nile riparian countries to enjoy the Nile water without any shortages for generations to come, instead of this selfish attitude claiming somebody’s water rights as if it belongs to them, which will have unnecessary outcome to all of the Nile basin countries.

Egypt & Sudan are saying , what we have is ours, also what Ethiopia has is ours….Rest in peace for reasoning & logic!
Ethiopia never asked permission to construct the dam & fill the dam.
And will not ask any one to use it’s water for irrigation & future development
