SSJ4 is so loved that Toriyama made it canon.

SSJ4 is loved for a couple of reasons but I can break it down to 4:

1-Origins, as a race and calling back to the Great Apes of early on, but also calling back to the Monkey King, goku himself was based off of.

2-Unique design from every other well known saiyan form.

3-the cool factor from the design to the change in demenor and voice of the characters that use it.

4-First impressions, this forms introduction was hinted at from the moment Goku got his tail back, Building up from SSJ3 Gokus defeat and going into the golden great apes rampage, from the emotion of instead of usual anger and hatered, love was what activated the form. And the giant beast gave way to the boy we saw in those mountians not so long ago, grown up.

GT: overwhelmed by his desire to save his home, Goku is compelled by the sight of his distraught granddaughter - together with a photograph of his friends and family - to completely restore his mind through a rapid evolution that delved into the very depths of his Saiyan heritage, unlocking a brand new form that epitomises everything he stands for.

Daima: zzzap!

I think I prefer SSJ4 in GT, the form was so strong it bypassed the power of the Black Star Balls and made Goku back into an adult which is just more badass than Daima's SSJ4

Honestly I really like how animalistic Super Saiyan 4 is in Daima. I honestly think the massive fists and animalistic behaviors truly defines the transformation.

4:36 Imagine if after getting energy from the other 4, they chose to fuse and accidentally became each other’s 5 donor for a surprise Super Saiyan God.

If they could take the GT method of attaining ssj4 with the aesthetics of daima but with GTs eyes and black hair it'd be perfect.
