Marrocan women we use warm olive oil, castor oil and argan oil to massage our scalp and hair before every wash. It's so relaxing !

Totally agree with the no wet hair! I always believed the same, but since drying it everytime is a game changer!

I agree with washing your hair often. I was washing my hair everyday when I was growing up and I had so much hair. To think my hair and scalp became dry and brittle when I start listening to everyone about washing the hair only once a week. It's best to go back to what worked. I grew up in Japan as well and Japanese wash their hair every day and they have really good strong and healthy hair. I shared with my Japanese home stay mum about how westerners only wash their hair once a week to keep the oils locks in and the said well here we wash our hair everyday and look at everyone's hair. It's shiny and healthy. I can't say no to that!

It's interesting to see how her hair looks wavy in her "before" pictures. As a wavy hair girl myself, I cannot fathom that my hair can also looks like her "after" hair.

Summary
ferritin should be 60-90. This will means much much better regrowth after hairfall. Lots of people say this recovers their thinning hair

Detangle with wet brush in shower when u have conditioner on

Oil with light oils like jojoba

Do NOT let Ur scalp get oily - massive inflammation causes thinner hair and hair fall.

Twice a week hair wash should be absolute minimum but should be washed ideally 3 times a week.

Don't use too much oil. It's hard to get out and needs too much scrubbing to get out.

Joboba or almond oil are good light oils for scalp.

For scalp don't use coconut, olive, avocado as they're too heavy.

Get good Blood circulation from massaging from pads of fingers

Hair mask after shampoo

I am an Indian too. And I agree with u. Coconut oil ruins my hair. Specially in summers n monsoon when I m prone to get the sticky itchy kind of scalp buildup. Also even in winters when my sensitive scalp gets all dehydrated, lighter oils really moisturise my scalp where heavier oils just forms a layer on a dry scalp and doens't get absorbed. I do add olive oil to jojoba oil in winters to make it slightly heavier and try to add a few drops of vit e capsules

I brush my hair directly under the shower because I found the water stream actually helps me brush with no resistsnace (as long as I'm using conditioner at the time)

What I have really enjoyed is listening to you learn to move away from conventional wisdom when it doesn't apply to you and learning who you are and what you need to be successful.
