Expect a full video review/breakdown discussion in the next week or so! I'll have a couple of special guests along with me to really go deep into our thoughts what we got from it.

Making the head vampire Irish was a stroke of genius. That "Sir" that Remmick gives when they ask if he's Klan was genuine disgust, because Irish immigrants were targeted and lynched by the Klan right alongside people of colour. The difference was instead of breaking the cycle of hate the Irish ended up assimilating into that same culture. Remmick thinks he's saving people by assimilating them into his Vampire group, when that is the farthest thing from being saved or being given true freedom. Also showing the folks in the Juke Joint buck dancing, and then showing them as Vampires performing an Irish dance was perfection. Buck dancing and flat footing was partly inspired by Irish and Scots Irish immigrants in the Appalachian region, showing that connection of cultures was brilliant, as well as demonstrating the thrall that Remmick has over the people he turned.

Great reaction! Just a little note ..the reason he told Sammie not to look at her and the reason he would not look directly at her was because there was a law around that time called reckless eyeballing (or something close to that) basically if a black man was caught looking directly at a white woman..they could be arrested and/or likely killed

I just found out that Charlie Patton was a famous mixed Irish, Choctaw and Black blues artist. On the Imdb for Sinners...

Such a beautiful, hoodoo adaptation of how “our ancestors” used the earth to feed, protect and nurture… of religion, mental health, <br>“passing, “ family, the separation between minorities and Caucasian people ……how music is a sort of “sorcery”- where flesh meets spirit and calls upon ancestors of every generation…it’s more than “vampire horror”.

One of the most beautiful, soulful, well written horror movies I have ever seen. &nbsp; It&apos;s like a deep South version of From Dusk Till Dawn, but more well composed. 10/10.

One of the best movies in years! My only complaint about your reaction is that I couldn’t watch the unedited on Patreon 😂
