  Funfact, having a common fear like spiders or heights doesn't mean you have a phobia! Phobias are irrational fears that cause extreme reactions that prevent you from living life normally, for example there was a woman with a phobia of feathers who ran away at the sight of a feather, leaving her children all alone on the beach D: Phobias are a mental health disorder that you should seek out help for if its causing you to struggle in your day to day life

  a fear and a phobia are similar but definitely different lmao. a phobia is when you’re fearful due to a stimuli, and that stimuli causes physical pain and discomfort. phobias commonly lead to avoidance, ocd and anxiety/panic. for example, someone who has arachnophobia (fear of spiders), might get overwhelmed, hyperventilate, panic, sweat, seize up, and cry from just a picture of a spider; or in other cases, if the spider is in the room with them. for treatment, the most common way and effective way is exposure therapy. “phobia” is a commonly misused phrase or word that is actually a serious diagnosis. <br><br> jake is stupid, so its ok 😭🩷

  As someone with mild agoraphobia, I can say from experience that the game isn’t accurate 😭When I go out in public, I get anxious due to separation anxiety (and not really liking public spaces because it&apos;s overwhelming, unfamiliar, and may be unsafe). I tend to look for exits in case something bad happens. Agoraphobia exists on a spectrum. It&apos;s not always the extreme, stereotypical version where someone can’t leave their house. For many people, the fear isn’t the place itself, but the fear of being alone and/or unable to get help if something goes wrong
