Some people may disagree, but this is one of the best rock albums ever made. Period. Cohesive and extremely well produced. It really represents the best that emo rock can be. So much of the perception amongst my peers when this came out was that this was just another emo album and because of that perception no one gave it the time of day, but it really is an impressive piece of work. I own it on vinyl and listen to it regularly. The End into Dead! is such an incredible opener and Famous Last Word really ties everything together. Famous Last Word subverts the expectation that all emo music and aesthetic is centered around this idea of glamorized death. It takes this album which centers around death and ends with something almost uplifting. Incredible music.

also a fun fact about disenchanted, it wasn’t originally supposed to be on the album but the singer gerard’s brother mikey (the bassist) begged and whispered in the members ears at night to get it on the album. and it’s my favorite so thank you mikey way lol

They’re currently touring this album again, and it’s genuinely so insane to watch. ESPECIALLY mama, famous last words and blood. The entire tour is just so theatrical in the best ways possible

Unpopular opinion: Welcome to the Black Parade is my favorite song on the album. I've heard it literally hundreds of times, maybe even close to a thousand, and I still get chills every goddamn time. That's a generational anthem right there.

The Mother singing in Mama is Liza Minnelli she is a incredibly famous actress and singer on Broadway and film. She is also the daughter of Late great actress Judy Garland. The whole album is inspired by the film she stared in Cabaret from 1972
