Hello and thanks for joining us on another edition of SUMO PRIME TIME. I'm Hiro Morita. The March Tournament is still two weeks away but our love for sumo never ceases. As you know, there are no weight classes in sumo. For a smaller combatant to defeat a much bigger opponent, he must attack with a very effective weapon. And I believe that weapon is the Katasukashi or Under shoulder swing down. We often see a top division’s smallest rikishi ,Midorifuji, beautifully execute the move on much bigger opponents to rack up victories. As usual, former Makuuchi wrestler and one of the most well-known experts in winning techniques, Coach Kabutoyama, teaches me how to properly execute the Katasukashi. Hope you enjoy another introduction to sumo’s winning ways, KATASUKASHI! And stay tuned for more insights into the world of sumo on SUMO PRIME TIME!

All the best for Sazanami. 10 months ago he won Sandanme yusho but struggled in Makushita afterwards. Hopefully he will cement his rank to high Makushita and has a chance for sekitori someday.

2:50 - Those are some classic sumo fingers! Busted more times than he can count by opponents trying to break his mawashi grip. Heard Konishiki talking about how all his had been broken at various times.
