It's nice to hear that experts do studies to arrive at my pre-formed conclusions. It also worries me that they may have arrived at these conclusions before researching.

Every time I find a new system and make a character I always want to design a new character sheet that makes sense to me

I love your scholarly approach! Great information and thoughtful analysis! More people need to be approaching this hobby/art form with this level of rigor. However, I do have one request: more visual aids would be greatly appreciated, particularly when you are talking about graphic design. (This is Youtube, not JSTOR.) Seriously, though, thank you for the time and thought you put into this video. I am looking forward to watching the rest of your videos. I cannot believe I have been deep into DungeonTube this long and only just now found you.

Excellent video. Imo one of your best. Your videos are usually well compartilized, and this one is no different, but this one in particular the content and context is well laid out. Easy to absorb. I learned a lot.

While little of this is new to me (again), the detail and quality gets it out on my design playlist yet again. Really getting into a consistent stride here.

The character sheet being the user interface for the game's mechanics is a great point! For example, one thing that made me bounce hard from Pathfinder 2e was its character sheet because it's so visually busy. I'm sure that it's a well made game, but when my first reaction to seeing it action was a groan, I knew that it's not for me :D

I think I need to start rating your videos in 'minutes I last before I have to run tell someone else about it.' I only made it 6 minutes the first attempt to watch through this one. I think that makes it the one to beat XD. I am also feeling unreasonably smug for finally recognizing exactly one of your references XD. Great one as always :)
