When the grocery store or church parking lots are empty, it is a perfect time to learn how to back up a trailer.

A tip for those new to backing trailers. Put your hands on the bottom of the steering wheel. The trailer will then go the same direction you are turning.

These videos serve as a reminder why I always dreamed of having a boat for the last 40 years but never wanted to buy one because of my fear of needing to use boat ramps, the aggravation of having to put it in and take it out, and the wasted time of all of it. It always seemed like it would take the fun our of it and turn it into a giant PIA. I finally bought my 1st boat this year. I was downsizing into a retirement home and lucked out finding one with a community dock on our huge local lake. My slip is mine, it goes with the house, the community dock is covered, and now when I want to head out to fish, enjoy some watersports, or just cruise the lake all I need to do is drive my golf cart down to the dock, walk to our slip and go.
