It took 2 decades before I realized how amazing this record truly is.

The chemistry between Party and Bruce was so intense during this time.

This is a brilliant record, unfairly shadowed by its predecessor

A truly fantastic documentary about Bruce's album. What a gifted artist, who, song by song, demonstrates why only THE BOSS can be THE BOSS! With love, Chancy

These are some of the sharpest and most insightful songs Springsteen ever wrote -- once you get past the formulaic "80s" production sound, which hasn't aged well. It's still a great record, one of my favorites, from the mature period that began with "Darkness on the Edge of Town" through "The River," "Nebraska," "Born in the USA," culminating in "Tunnel of Love."

In 1989 I saw Bruce here in Chicago on The Tunnel of Love tour. I was only 21, but I had already seen him 3 or 4 times. My brother, who is 14 years older than me, got me into Bruce’s music when I was still too young to know what all the lyrics meant. Anyway, on that tour in 89, he played She’s the One. Still to this day, it’s the best live song I’ve ever heard. It just went on and on, for maybe 10-11 minutes. It was simply awesome. The last time I saw him was at Wrigley Field. That was very cool!

As he lifts Jimmy Swaggert's act. Hilarious.

Oddly this period strikes me as more suited to making a movie about. It’ll probably happen when Bruce and Patti are gone.
