A very impactful and memorable movie. Thanks for watching my reaction! By the way, I have already watched Bill Hader's Daniel Plainview impression on SNL... like 5 times. HOW IS HE SO ACCURATE?! 😅 https://youtu.be/Qajb3Y4tjuA

Get my There Will Be Blood watchalong here: https://patreon.com/posts/133306589 or ALL of my movie watchalongs by becoming a Patreon member at the Movie Watchers tier: https://patreon.com/kaiielle
EARLY ACCESS TO EDITS ➡ Join my channel membership: https://youtube.com/channel/UCIY8Cffp_o-k3gvEhjafF5g/join or the Early Birds tier of Patreon
Suggest movies for me to react to: https://forms.gle/XZVvZhfhwFzsDpRU9
Get your movie reacted to: https://reactr.tv/kaiielle
Follow my gaming journey: https://youtube.com/@kaleplays

One of the greatest American films ever made. Paul Thomas Anderson is essential.

This and No Country for Old Men came out in the same year and were involved in one of the most legendary duels for Best Picture in Oscar history. Coincidentally they were filmed at the same time about 20-30 miles apart in West Texas.

I disagree that he abandoned his son for the deafness. He sent him away because he was weighing him down while trying to battle with Standard oil etc and when HW set the house on fire, he became too much of a liability. If you go back and watch the train scene again, you'll see the extreme pain in his face sitting there as he knows what he is about to do. Another fun thing is to watch the oscars from back then and the look on the faces of the other nominees as they watch the clip of him in the baptism. You can see them all thinking "who stands a chance against that?!" 😂

I think there will be blood is my most favorite movie of all time. It's definitely an intense watch, but I've seen it like five or six times, and I'm locked in every single time.

it puts a smile on my face anytime someone gets the opportunity to watch this film for the first time, because it always leaves viewers in complete awe, the same way it did for me, when I was 17 seeing it in theaters the week it released.

The crazy, intense score was composed by Johnny Greenwood from Radiohead. They often collaborate on his movies.

This was the greatest single performance I've ever seen from a lead.

The dialogue in this movie is so incredible. What hit me was the scene where he says he's built up hatred for everyone over the years, and he just wants to get rich enough to never need anyone. There's no real explanation for how he got this way, it's just the way he is. "What does it profit a man to gain the whole world, yet lose his soul?"

That slight change from discomfort and wanting to get away to seeing through Eli's salesman-like preacher persona during the baptism is always a highlight for me.

The train scene upset my mother so badly that couldn't finish watching the movie and to this day has not finished it. To me, this is the greatest movie I've ever seen. I've watched it so many times and DDL's acting never shows. It's astounding every single time.
