One of the biggest W changes for early game is that you no longer need wood and stone to make regular pal spheres. This allows you to make way more pal spheres earlier on to go on pal hunting expeditions with

I don't think I've seen anyone talk about it yet, but a big change/addition I really like about the game is how you can see EVERYTHING now. In early access versions, you could never see far enough to notice the first oil rig all the way from the starting location. But now you can see everything right away, and I have been loving it
