  Thanks for watching! Addressing a couple of questions that have come up repeatedly in the comments:<br>1. Q: Why didn&apos;t I mention XYZ engine? A: Sorry if I missed your favorite! I &apos;touch&apos; on engines through the years but it&apos;s not the focus (it&apos;s a far too brief history!) of the video, and I try to keep it high-level so as to not get bogged down in every engine in every year. Yes, I know I missed the Duramax and should have mentioned it, but it wasn&apos;t the point of the video. :)<br>2. Q: Why didn&apos;t you mention the S-10? &nbsp;A: I already had a 26 min video and didn&apos;t want to go off on tangents with the Chevy LUV, S-10, etc., but keep it focused on the 1500-series trucks. I&apos;ll be doing an S-10 video in the future!<br>3. Q. Why didn&apos;t you talk about the Cadillac EXT? A: See the answer above, as well as why I didn&apos;t go into the El Camino or any of the GMC variants of these platforms. This was about Chevy, and I was avoiding those branches... not only for time, but also to leave space for future video ideas.

  I’ve been a Chevy guy all my life. I had a 1973 Blazer, a 1978 Blazer, 2 1974 Pickups and even a 1971 Van. Currently I have a 1984 3/4 Ton Scottsdale, a 1998 K2500HD (C6P Chassis) and a 2012 Silverado Crewcab. All the pickups are 4x4 except one of the 74s. They all had 350s/ 5.7 except the 2012. My first car when I was 16 in 1969 was a 63 Impala Supersport with a 327. The girl I took on my first date in that car is sitting next to me now.

  The &apos;99-2006 trucks were awesome. &nbsp;Then they added the displacement on demand and went downhill from there.

  Am I the only one who thinks the 1941 Chevy trucks are works of beauty? The front end is just amazing.

  I also had a 1999 Tahoe Z-71, with the last year 5.7L Vortec. I drove it for over 17 years, rarely anything broke, but when it did the replacement part was always $19.99 on the shelf at AutoZone, didn&apos;t matter what the part was, always $19.99 on the shelf!❤

  Hey Jon, the Avalanche was also used to create the Cadillac Escalade EXT. This truck was in production from 2001-2006.

  GMT 800&apos;s will always have my heart.<br>I plan to restore a 1500HD to better than factory new after I get my house paid off.

  There was a Cadillac version of the avalanche, the ext I believe.
