Layne used green screen for Mother Gothel and did it brilliantly. My favorite part of the green screen was when Gothel lef second time she pivoted behind Rapunzel. It appeared to be so fast that Rapunzel's hair was blown in the wind....
Voiceplay has had a very rough year, Layne realized that we all needed giggles and belly laughs. The BTS shows that they were having a blast and the audience followed suit.

Sohum! YAY! So glad you're jumping on this so quick! Layne's arrangement here is beyond great! The more I listen to this, the more impressed I become; they put so much creativity into each detail! Layla should be a Broadway STAR! From her sweet, innocent Rapunzel with the quintessential Disney princess voice, juxtaposed with Mother Gothel, with the Broadway villain's voice and demeanor, she's got the chops to be a real star in musical theater! And kudos to Voiceplay for their seamless editing to have Layla on screen as both Rapunzel and Gothel, so believably! (And yes, she is playing in BOTH roles!) These guys are just top-notch at musical theater production videos like this! They were all at 100%! The duet with Cesar and Layla was lovely. Everyone's animated enthusiasm is so freakin' adorable! Eli's long-held note - astonishing; Geoff's ultra-deep, grounding basslines and adorable bass giggle after "ceramic unicorn's"; Layne's insane beatboxing and beautiful singing; all the various character voices 🤯! Their acting is awesome; all of it was just top-notch! Like attending live musical theatre, only better! SO fun! And, as usual, vocally exceptional all around! I think the only thing I'd have done differently would have been to bring Layla forward in the mix more/bring up her volume in the finale. But that's really nitpicky! Thanks for a wonderful reaction...I just adore your honesty and vulnerability! I enjoyed watching this again more with you than any other reactor! Tell your mama hi for me, and remind her what a great son she raised!!💜💜💜

Your emotions and vulnerability is beautiful. Definitely appreciate this. Ya, Layla was perfect in this and I love how much they enjoyed this. It's funny how they can take something we just glance over once (I've only watched Tangled once) and turn it into something that just pulls us in and feel everything. Also, big hugs, dealt with grief and parental issues. I get what you mean. We all need help and support. Glad you found that support.

11:15 you're not the only one! Another reactor I watched started crying during this section because of the amount of beautiful emotion that they packed into it!

What a fantastic medley - Layne is a genius (medley) arranger. This must have been really tough to arrange for acapella. Layla was amazing as both Rapunzel and Mother Gothel! I also get the idea that they were happy to have ANY reason to be their goofy selves again. Nice to see you again Sohum - what are we if we cannot get emotional over something beautiful 🤗 🌹🕊

"She touched herself" -- LOL. seriously, yes I had to study also to realize Layla played both parts. What a lovely and kind intro. I really enjoyed your discussion of how you take in a medley- rings so true. Lovely comment on the role of community. Bless you, sir

Enjoyed your emotional reaction and wonderful analysis of this work of art. Geoff said "Layne was really pulling the cart" these last few months and he did it brilliantly.❤
