  I was 7 years old in 94. We grew up poor, but loved each other very much. Back then all the grandparents, uncles, and aunties were still here. Miss those days. It&apos;s true. &nbsp;Blink once, and suddenly it&apos;s 30 years later.

  Grew up in the 80s/90s. &nbsp;1994 I would have been a young teenager. &nbsp; Now, &nbsp;looking back we were &quot;poor&quot;, &nbsp;but if you would have asked me back then I would have never knew it. &nbsp; Surrounded by Mom and Dad, &nbsp;brothers, &nbsp;all my neighborhood friends, &nbsp;playing outside every single day until dark....we were so rich.

  Graduated in 94, left my home state on my own as a single 19 y.o girl with a backpack, determined to make it by myself. &nbsp;<br>Failed a lot. <br>Made every mistake in the book. But I learned. &nbsp;Went to school, &nbsp;married, had 4 kids, divorced and remarried, finally moved back to my home state, &nbsp;this time to stay. <br>I&apos;m 50 now. &nbsp;It went by so fast. <br>This world is so terrifying - I don&apos;t know how we got here.<br> &nbsp;<br>I am grateful that I grew up Gen X, but so sad that my kids never got to experience life that way. We had nothing, &nbsp;but we had everything. <br>80&apos;s/90&apos;s were the last happy medium this world will ever see.

  In 94 - I remember my mom was away alot for work, and sometimes I would sit and look out the window and wonder what she was doing. Lived under the same roof as all my sisters and my grandparents were alive back then. Today I still have my sisters, and their families, but my mom and grandparents have since passed, I think of those times when my mom would call me and say &quot;don&apos;t worry sweetie, this is just temporary, mommy is going to come home soon!&quot;. This life is temporary, but the love she gave us even when she wasn&apos;t there was forever &lt;3

  In 1994 we were tasked with drawing ourselves as grownups. &nbsp;I drew a guy with a paint brush and a beard. &nbsp;I got laughs because I was the only student who drew a beard. &nbsp;30 years later I’m a designer with a beard. &nbsp;<br><br>Nostalgia is great but let’s not forget we lived those times so we could arrive here now.
