Heard a story about an American builder living with his Thai wife in the States for 25 years. They decide to go back to Thailand to retire. He gets talked into building a 4 house complex & apartment building in her name. On completion she tells him..."You want to live, You leave." Now That is playing the Long Game.

This happened to my father. I still laugh at him. Worked his whole life, treated his real family like sht. Went overseas, got himself some hot young asian lady. Now lives with my sister on a poverty pension. Karma is a terrible mistress.

You can't go to a place to intentionally leverage poverty levels and get a young wife that otherwise wouldn't be interested in you - then complain about gold diggers. That was the very essence of the transaction.

My Thai wife was scammed by her sister from the village. My wife had paid for the parents land on their passing and her sister paid somebody at the Amphur / land office to put the land in her name, which she then borrowed around 700`000 bht against! <br><br>When we got wind of this (we live in the UK) we sent a lawer up to the village and to the land office to threaten them with police and legal action if the matter was not reversed! Luckily it worked, the land was transferred back into my wife's name and her sister had to let a rice growing company take control of her land to return the money borrowed. <br><br>Thai people are happy to fleece their own families too.
