Blows my mind the girl who ran from howling dude was trying to make excuses to herself about his intentions. Like girl, yes he was going to hurt you. He thought you were an easy mark. When it became too much work he quit. He absolutely would have hurt you. No question

I've been lost a few times when the trees look the same. I find my way back by doing a spider leg search from my main starting point; go out about 50 ft, if nothing looks familiar, go back to the hub and do the next spider leg -same distance. It works well when you have some markers. What would work even better is to take a damn compass and nap. Oh, and folks who don't understand N, S, E, W should educate themselves.
