The Whoop situation gave me secondhand anxiety. This is why I randomly purposefully break streaks. Screw that manipulative crap.

Ali, please wear a bike helmet. They're very good for maintaining fitness under certain circumstances.

Streaks are stupid. I had a similar streak with closing all the rings on my Apple Watch, but I had to spend an entire day in the car, and lost that streak. And it hurt pretty bad, to the point that I have deliberately NEVER STARTED ANOTHER STREAK. Also, I can no longer run because I didn't take rest days like I should have. Knowing how you are about working out, you should probably schedule entire cycles, with rest days, and rest weeks. I miss running more than I can say, I'd hate for you to feel that way about working out.

Ali, I'm a male and I've been watching a few of your videos already (and also subscribed, since the gym monster 2 review video) and I don't know, this one made me to actually want to comment and tell you how, firstly, motivational you are, and secondly, super talented. Your videos are super well made and enjoyable to watch.. And did I mention motivational? I don't workout as hardly as you but am pretty active. I feel so terrible lately and decided to take a step back this week from all of my activities, even walking and climbing stairs.. Literally came back from work feeling destroyed, opened YouTube on my TV and the first video I see is this. Literally depicting how I feel every morning for the past I dunno how much time.. I'm so happy you've started to recover. Hopefully I can start now too :-)

I give myself a rest day once a week which means nothing more strenuous than a walk. I find it really helpful because my other days are filled with exercise. There was a period of time when I was still feeling burned out so I incorporated a floating day off which means the first week I took off a Wednesday and my rest day which is Thursday then the next week I took Tuesday off and still took my normal rest day on Thursday and then the next week was Monday. I found it gave me the extra rest I needed. After 2 months of this I was back on track and went back to one rest day a week but if I start to burn out again I have that rest strategy in my back pocket.

Moderation is always a good thing. Remember hormones are likely at play too, they can wreak havoc real quick. You should try switching your meal times to a more normal rhythm and add a rest day weekly and see what else changes!

I'm experiencing the "double edge sword" syndrome.. push my program three weeks straight .. two+ hours per day to the point of extreme fatigue.. then feel extremely guilty when I take a recovery day or two .. so now I push myself even harder .. to make up that lost time .. never really giving myself enough recovery time to make a difference .. even with my numbers plateauing .. find it difficult to change the cycle
