As soon as a child is born, if not before, parents should start a college fund. If the child gets a scholarship or doesn't choose to go to college they have a nest egg for a car, house or wedding. If your child has a fulltime job and is an adult you should charge them rent and put that rent money into a savings account for THEM. Too many parents use kids for money and babysitting their younger siblings

If youre charging your MINOR KIDS rent you are exploiting them and youre NOT a good person OR parent. Hope the kids ditch these parents the first second they get

This is why a lot us cut off family. Don’t move evil and expect me to keep you around. The mom who asked her daughter to pay rent because her “fiancée” is moving in, knows she’s dating a loser/predator. She wants her daughter to pay rent out of jealousy because she already knows how her foul boy operates.

If children are above 18, are no longer in school and are working full-time it is perfectly alright to contribute but $800 per child is way too much, $150 each is more appropriate. If they are still in school and working part-time, it should not be required. That's my opinion
